This quasi acoustic album reinvents the blues with a modern and unique way. Some rock up tempo trachs like Mama's got a girlfriend now to more slower and darker songs like Whipping Boy, the whole burns yet with a caustic moral. With a striking maturity for a first album, it recalls by his coherence and his passion the first efforts of Tracy Chapman.
