Brown eyes blue.

This song is a blend of funk and pop, and done so well that it hurts. Some may describe it as the “Steal My Kisses” of this album, but to do that short-changes the value of this song. There is perhaps a little more funk than pop, and while it is not as over the top as the song that follows this one, it is the song that is ruled by the bass magic of one the most talented in the business, Juan Nelson. This is a song that really grooves, and while one would think that this vibe would be unreachable given the sounds that have already been experienced thus far in the album, that is wrong. While one would think that such a variety of sounds would work to diminish the quality of the songs taken as a whole, it really does the opposite, and serves to lift each track up into it’s own.

Lyrics :

If I knew being here with you today
Would mean being alone tomorrow
I would gladly trade all tomorrow's away
For a moment with you

Brown eyed blues
You can find yourself
Another fool
Yeah

Can you look into my eyes
Or has your heart gone blind
Can you look into your own
And find the same place that I've

Brown eyed blues
You can find yourself
Another fool
Yeah

Why be with strangers
When you could be with your friend
You're very lonely
You know I'm lonely too
And I will stay lonely 'till I'm again with you

Brown eyed blues
You can find yourself
Another fool
Yeah
